Social media have been part of many people's lives, both those who consume them and those who feed them.
As a content creator, social media are the most viable tool to share your things around the world, however, if there is no particular control (however difficult it may be), they can ruin your life, both personal and professional.
Ironically, I work as a Software Engineer and Content Creator, that is, as a developer, I know how social media work and what techniques are used to attract your attention, and as a creator, I am also part of the people who feed and consume them. . This kind of puts me in a position "between the knife and the cheese" because even knowing the psychological manipulation that users suffer without understanding it, I also feed them with content that in turn captures the attention of these same people and still consume content from the others, in other words, making a crazy analogy, I know that smoking kills, but even so, I work in a cigarette factory and as if that wasn't enough, I still smoke.
Anyway, back to the main subject, in recent times (to be honest, ever since haha), I've noticed that social media has become a big problem in my life, ruining all my productivity and ability to relate to other people, So in the last few months I've been trying to get away from them, not completely since I work with them, but reducing consumption and trying to spend more time doing more productive things like creating content, reading books, listening to podcasts and others.
I hope that this text has somehow opened you up to your mindset about social media and that you take care of yourself, your mental health, your relationships with other people, and that you can look around you and realize that there are several better ways ( and healthier) to have fun.
Create more, consume less.

The Light Phone II
As part of my attempt to cut down on social media consumption, I'm going to be using a dumb phone for a while. This is The Light Phone II, a premium, minimalist phone designed to be used as little as possible. It will never have social media, clickbait news, email, internet browser or any other anxiety-inducing endless feed.
The guys at The Light Phone sent me this phone for free and I'm really excited to try it out.
Play Station 5
I bought a PS5 to play some exclusive Play Station games like The Last of Us Part I. This console has also helped me to reduce my phone usage and social media consumption.
Desk Setup - (Almost) Final Version
I made some small upgrades to my desk like the PS5, an aroma diffuser, and a desk shelf. I think it's almost perfect, just missing a couple of speakers and a desk frame.
