The Road #9 – Ending the Year With a New Engine
New features, new superpower, new habits and (almost) a new year.
Well, what a year 2022 has been. Looking back, I would never have imagined how many good things happened to me this year. I moved to my new apartment, which I consider my greatest achievement, I started to take better care of my physical and mental health by playing sports, reducing the consumption of unhealthy food, and meditating, I improved my relationship with money and my self-discipline.
I've been meditating for 38 days straight and I'm so happy I've been able to stay consistent. One of the techniques I used to get into the habit of meditating was the fourth stage of creating a habit, making it rewarding. The way I'm doing this is by sharing the count every day on my Instagram (a good way to use social media). It's working.
This was certainly the best year of my life, many goals were achieved, and great steps were taken to achieve others. I really hope that 2023 will be a much better year, and that I will remain firm on this journey in search of personal development.
Updates
New publisher
I just migrated my newsletter to Substack. This place is more accessible to the public, with a mobile application for iOS and Android and many other features such as liking and commenting. So now you can install the Substack app on your mobile device and read my newsletter whenever you want.
Subscriber chat
Today I’m announcing a new addition to my newsletter: The Road subscriber chat.
This is a conversation space in the Substack app that I set up exclusively for my subscribers — like a group chat or live hangout. I’ll post short prompts, thoughts, and updates that come my way, and you can jump into the discussion.
To join our chat, you’ll need to download the Substack app, now available for both iOS and Android. Chats are sent via the app, not email, so turn on push notifications so you don’t miss a conversation as it happens.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.

This is one of the things I've been thinking about the most lately… becoming a filmmaker.
I know it sounds crazy, but I'm fascinated by the whole process of filmmaking. So, next year, I will dedicate myself to learning this art.
I intend to share the whole learning process on my YouTube channel, where I will also give tips on filmmaking for beginners and much more.
I'm really looking forward to getting started and I really hope it goes well.
